This epistle delivers the timeless message that though believers live in the world, they are not to be of it.  The Corinthian church, defiled by and entangled in the unbridled sins of their pagan culture, was in desperate need of teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness.  Through written correspondence and personal visits, Paul invested heavily into this struggling church with its many questions, pointing each time to the same answer, Christ.  Paul's spot light on the Lord as the answer to every question remains a relevant and timely lesson to believers and the church at large today.
